Alan Moore and... Paolo Uccello

A new comic-book idea is eating away at him - a book based on Paolo Uccello's Renaissance painting The Battle of San Romano and its numerous contexts. And Hollywood shows no sign of leaving him alone: X-Men writer David Hayter has written a screenplay for Watchmen that even meets with Moore's approval. [...]
This seems to be one of Moore's "lost projects". Even if considering what the journalist wrote about the Watchmen ("approval"?) I am not so sure he reported 100% true facts. :D
