Moore Gutiérrez

Above, a spectacular Moore portrait by the amazing Spanish artist Manu Gutiérrez, for my personal collection. 

Gutierrez is the cover artist of Roberto Bartual's essay Occulture. Alan Moore: al otro lado del velo (Occulture. Alan Moore: Beyond the Veil) (Ediciones Marmotilla, 2024).

Lacavalla has a strong, unique style resulting in a mesmerizing black and white art. 

His last graphic novel is an oneiric biography of H.P. Lovecraft (HPL - Una vita di Lovecraft), in collaboration with writer Marco Taddei, published this month in Italy by Edizioni BD. 

Highly recommended (waiting for International editions to come!).

Gary Spencer Millidge is a writer and illustrator from Essex, England. In 2003 he co-edited and published Alan Moore: Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentleman, contributing also with a 12-page comic biography. He is the creator of the critically acclaimed, award-winning comic book series Strangehaven, and the writer of Comic Book Design and Alan Moore: Storyteller for Ilex Press. He has written two all-ages how-to books, Draw Fantasy Figures and Draw Dragons, both with James McKay.
In 2021 Strangehaven has been optioned for film and television by IDW Entertainment.

Her most recent work is Hitomi, a miniseries set in Feudal Era Japan, published by Image Comics (story by HS Tak) and in Italy by Oblomov.

Lorenzo Mò has published two graphic novels for Eris Edizioni, Dogmadrome in 2019 and the recent Omnilith in 2023, mixing a cartoon, pop style with indie vibes. His illustrations and comics have appeared in several magazines, including LÖKzine and linus.

Enigmatic Moore by Marco Galli

Above, a mesmerizing and enigmatic portrait of Alan Moore by Italian painter and comic book artist MARCO GALLI. Galli's amazing books have been published in Italy - mostly by Coconino Press and Progetto Stigma - France and Spain.

I looove Galli's art and, as usual, when I commission a new Moore portrait, I give complete freedom to the artist: the piece has to be a surprise to me. It was a real surprise and... I love it!!!

Foolishly, I asked for an explanation about some of the mysterious elements in the portrait, and Galli wisely replied: "Explanations are useless!" Great answer, man!
